Pattern

Pattern is a part of everyday life , it always has been and is literally everywhere around us. It makes the world what is it today. Pattern is responsible for out ability to recognize and differentiate between different objects and aspects in nature. It allows us to understand the messages being conveyed to us as well. There are many different types of patterns , some conveying movement or power, others conveying laziness or even energy. This is what make up our world.
My pattern design was made to convey the movement with in our sky. The way the clouds swirl and pass by each other lazily. It’s also made to show the pattern in the way birds fly. I wanted to show the beauty and the repetition in the position of their wings during flight. Although when someone thinks of a bird flying, it’s often a very boring image of the bird flapping its wings “up and down up and down”, the form and structure of their flight is actually way more than that. The elegant repetition of flight is one of the many forms of nature over looked and taken for granted.

Cannon Project

This is a rough sketch of the character I created. Her name is Nyalah. She lives in the distant future, and lives off of the land. Nyalah lives in a time period where most of the world has been destroyed by nuclear wars. Not many people are left on the earth. Humans have resorted back to the tribal lifestyle. She is eighteen years old and is a very skilled archer. In her tribe she is known for her superior archery skills and is one of the youngest leaders of her time. Both her parents were killed as casualties of war and she is left with a younger brother to take care of.photo

Chair

I.C.3

intimidating chair
This chair was constructed in Maya with the verb “intimidating” and the adjective “royal” in mind. I made this chair by combining simple polygons ,such as squares and cones, using various tools to distort and resize them. I Used the color black in this piece because its a very dark and even intimidating color. I Used red to compliment the black and I Used silver because of its shine and to give the chair a sense of royalty.
